Re-shaping the Legal Industry

I've been specializing in Intellectual Property since 2007, trained as both an IP attorney and professional negotiator. When I founded GOLDENBERG IP, I was driven by a profound sense of disappointment with the traditional legal industry. Where billable hours trumped actual needs, and complexity was king. Where clients were drowned in legal jargon, left wondering what happens next, and charged by the hour for explanations that created more questions than answers.

Sure, the field is complex. And yes, the stakes are high. But that doesn´t change what I believe lawyers are actually for: Our job isn't just to master legal complexity, but to make it feel easy for the client, providing the clear information they need for crucial business decisions.

A Startup Love Story

The most formative part of what my firm is all about began early in my career as Legal Counsel in R&D and IP Transfer. As part of my legal journey, I spent years negotiating IP ownership in projects with global heavyweights like BMW, BASF, Daimler, GE, and Siemens. But what always truly sparked me were the startups at those very tables.

Their contributions were often the most vital part of every project. More often than not, it was the startup, who brought the crucial piece for innovation, fueled by their vision, risk-taking, and relentless drive to innovate.

Yet, I consistently saw them facing an uphill battle to protect their innovations, and to secure a fair seat at the negotiation tables. The legal system often seemed designed to make them fight hard while feeling small.

These years of experience fundamentally shaped three core beliefs
